Japan Trip Date OptimizerCompare dates

Transparent by design · Score v0.2

What the risk score means—and what it does not.

Each candidate period receives a 0–100 planning-risk score. Lower means fewer date-specific planning frictions in the bundled data; it does not promise better weather, fewer people, or a better trip.

35%

Climate comfort

JMA 1991–2020 daily normals for temperature and precipitation. Historical normals are not a forecast.

25%

Calendar pressure

Weekends, Japan's official national holidays, and consecutive days off within each exact window.

25%

Major published events

Only manually reviewed official event records. This is a planning signal, not an attendance or live-crowd prediction.

15%

Visitor seasonality

A 2019 pre-pandemic national monthly visitor-arrival baseline from JNTO, used comparatively rather than as a current visitor count.

A difference below 5 points is reported as a tie. When either window falls outside reviewed event coverage, the event factor is removed from both candidates and the other three weights are proportionally normalized.
